A window on the world: The dedication of the Gray Center

In December 1983, Robert Gray, the chairman of Hill and Knowlton Public Affairs Worldwide and Hastings native, donated one million dollars to Hastings College for the establishment of a new communications center that would open a “window on the world.”

President Ronald Reagan, a good friend of Robert Gray, traveled to Hastings, Nebraska to dedicate the Gray Center for Communication Arts. Join Dwayne Strasheim and Roger Doerr as they recall the events of that day in Hastings College history.

Clinging to Sioux City quest

Three wins in seven games marked inconsistent play as the No. 20 HC Broncos forged through January and a very difficult GPAC schedule.

The Broncos ranked 14th at the beginning of January, but J-Term proved to be a rough patch for the team.  The Broncos lost to three GPAC ranked opponents in the top 25 during the term.  However, team maturity does not seem to be a factor in the recent drought. [Read more...]
